This first name, at the height of its popularity in 1931, the year when Maison Brotte was founded, means glory and courage. This wine is remarkable for its freshness and harmony. &#8220;La Rollande&#8221; boasts a violet hue and aromas of blackcurrants and violets, as well as slightly woody and spicy notes of white pepper and liquorice. It is the biggest of the northern crus in terms of volume.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #b2254b;\"><strong>TERROIR<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The vineyard is located at the bottom of the hillside slopes that includes some areas of granitic sand but is primarily Is\u00e8re quaternary alluvial deposits, made up of clay soils containing varying amounts of gravel.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #b2254b;\"><strong>VINIFICATION &amp; AGEING<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Soil work, leaf thinning and green pruning. The grapes are harvested by hand when they are fully ripe. They are then destemmed and crushed. Maceration takes place in stainless steel vats at a temperature of 26-28\u00b0C and lasts for 15 days to preserve as much fruit as possible. After devatting, malolactic fermentation is carried out.
